Do you need Food Hygiene Training & Certification?

Hunts Training Centre is an independent company with over 32 years experience in catering. Our aim is to meet the needs of individuals who require training in Level 2 Food Safety in Catering.

Our training sessions are relaxed, enjoyable and we create an environment in which people can learn and develop skills for their role in catering.

We hold courses all day Saturdays and during school holidays, at times and places to suit you. We are always flexible to meet your individual learning needs; e.g if you would like us to run a course over a two week period in the evening after work we are also available.

This course covers the basics of Food Hygiene and is designed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled for the public.

The qualifications cover the following topics:

• Food Hygiene Legislation

• Food Safety Hazards

• Temperature Control

• Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding

• Cooking, hot holding and reheating

• Food handling

• Principles of safe food storage

• Causes and symptoms of food poisoning

• Reduce the risks of contamination

• Good Personal Hygiene

• Main food pests and ways to prevent infestations

• Cleaning

• Food premises and equipment

Course duration:  Level 2 Food Hygiene is 6 hours study time 1 hour for revision and 30 minutes for the multiple examination.

    30 question multiple choice examination.

   Book 5 lessons and the lessons are at a reduced rate per person - this includes course book, exam papers and certificate.

  All fees include soft drinks, tea, coffee and biscuits.

  Learn the basics in cake decorating in easy step by step lessons from your personal tutor who has over thirty years experience in this area.

    with over five years experience in sugar craft, learn how to create sugarcraft decorations for those special cakes.

  Baking and cooking is our passion and for thirty six years we have serviced the catering industry. Hunts Training Centre can help you to master the basics of baking and help you create mouth watering recipes.

Cost:   For cooking, cake decorating and sugar craft classes the rates will vary from £10 per hour. The duration of the course is entirely up to you but we recommend that you would benefit by completing a 6 weeks course.
